The Governance Committee is a committee of the Barth Syndrome Foundation (BSF) Board of Directors (the “Board”) established under Article III, Section 17 of the By-Laws. The Committee shall be comprised of at least two Directors appointed by the Board. It may also include the Executive Director as a non-voting member, ex-officio member. Each member of the Committee will serve for a term ending with his/her Board term. The Committee is responsible for recommending candidates for Board membership, including the Board Chair, overseeing education of new Board members, and periodically reviewing BSF’s By-Laws and policies and making recommendations to the Board as appropriate.
Christiane Hope
Ms. Hope is a founding member of the Barth Syndrome Foundation of Canada, and served on its board for 15 years. She is involved with the Family Services Program, and works alongside Shelley Bowen and Michaela Damin in organizing the Family portion of the BSF international conference. She has one surviving son with Barth syndrome, and is committed to BSF's mission.
