The Governance Committee is a committee of the Barth Syndrome Foundation (BSF) Board of Directors (the “Board”) established under Article III, Section 17 of the By-Laws. The Committee shall be comprised of at least two Directors appointed by the Board. It may also include the Executive Director as a non-voting member, ex-officio member. Each member of the Committee will serve for a term ending with his/her Board term. The Committee is responsible for recommending candidates for Board membership, including the Board Chair, overseeing education of new Board members, and periodically reviewing BSF’s By-Laws and policies and making recommendations to the Board as appropriate.
Michaela Damin
Ms. Damin is the Chief Executive of Barth Syndrome UK and was a founding member of the original patient support group back in 2003. She has an adult son with Barth syndrome. Over the years, she has been actively involved in all aspects of the organization and has served on BSF’s Board as well as serving on various committees, including this one.
