The Governance Committee is a committee of the Barth Syndrome Foundation (BSF) Board of Directors (the “Board”) established under Article III, Section 17 of the By-Laws. The Committee shall be comprised of at least two Directors appointed by the Board. It may also include the Executive Director as a non-voting member, ex-officio member. Each member of the Committee will serve for a term ending with his/her Board term. The Committee is responsible for recommending candidates for Board membership, including the Board Chair, overseeing education of new Board members, and periodically reviewing BSF’s By-Laws and policies and making recommendations to the Board as appropriate.
Tracy Torbert
Ms. Torbert lives with her two children, Brayden and Braylee, in Delaware, USA. She joined BSF eight years ago when her son was diagnosed with Barth syndrome. Ms. Torbert has volunteered to help with the Governance Committee because she's interested in helping to shape the future of the BSF's Board of Directors and in helping any way she can to give back to BSF. She is grateful for BSF and all that they do to find a cure one day!
