As the Director of Development and Communication, Jessica is responsible for nurturing and growing the community of BSF supporters and donors. She believes deeply in the power of connection to provide support and make change and is inspired by the strength of BSF’s community. Jess holds a B.A. in English Literature and History from Rutgers University, where she honed her research and writing skills.

Prior to joining BSF, Jess spent over a decade at CRA | Admired Leadership, most recently as a Managing Director, where she helped clients foster understanding throughout their organizations. Her work included articulating and driving understanding of vision and strategy, managing complex networks of stakeholders, and using quantitative and qualitative research to inform solutions to engagement and communication challenges.

In 2015, she hiked the 2,189-mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. Now, Jess feeds her creativity by serving on the Board of Trustees for the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra Music Institute and stays connected to the natural world as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Parks & Forests Foundation. She lives in Philadelphia with her family and gets out into Pennsylvania’s state parks and forests as much as possible.
