In this talk, Dr. Lim will share insights gathered from the 2024 conference, highlighting parents’ voices about their child’s participation at home, in school, and in the community. She will also introduce her new project, which focuses on developing a tailored self-help program for children with Barth syndrome to support their participation in everyday activities.

Dr. Lim is an assistant professor in the Division of Occupational Therapy at Binghamton University in Binghamton, New York, and a licensed occupational therapist specializing in pediatric populations. Her research is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with rare diseases by promoting their engagement in meaningful and desired activities.
